Now that it has 'gone public' with the video footage, I don't see how the police can fail to act (like it or not).. Good. I was in my teens when I stood next to a burly police sergeant and we both watched 'travellers' (gathered for a wedding) set fire to a toilet tent provide by the council. They had been pooh-ing in our garden!

I asked the policeman what he was going to do about it. His reply....'Do you want a riot?' Watched criminal vandalism together.

Travellers have got away with cocking-a-snook for far too long.
My answer nowadays would be 'OK, phone for reinforcements and the T.A. and bring them to heel!'

I don't think the Police have witnesses - they just have mobile phone footage taken by onlookers

db I guess the travellers could be anywhere now so I hope some reg numbers were taken so they can be traced but I must say I will be really surprised if anyone is arrested and charged. I hope somebody gives Sarah a medal though because she deserves it.

The vehicles will be un-taxed and uninsured and probably registered to the likes of Mr Michael Mouse and Mr D Duck.......so I doubt registration numbers will be of much help.

I have just viewed the video everal times, and I cannot see an assault. I see the lady fall over, but therere does not seem to be a push or any contact.
Also the video is not of sufficient quality to help in identifying anyone.
