Was This Mays Intention In The First Place?

Remembering that May was/is a Remoaner did she trash the election kowing uncertainty would scupper the Brexit 'negotiations'?
I honestly cant think of another reason for such a poor campaign - orchestrated by her.
Now we have a cabinet of Remoaners. I am suspecting we will end up worse off, doing what Corbyn wants i.e. paying bucket loads but having no seat at the EU.

She had a huge starting advantage and blew it, but I believe the reason the polls put her so far ahead was precisely that she'd promised no snap election, just concentration on Brexit. By calling the poll she instantly lost credibility. Plus she simply wasn't as polite and calm as Corbyn. I suspect since Trump, voters have wearied a little of name-calling and personal abuse. That gag about naked Corbyn was a new low, at least in my eyes.
People suggesting that May somehow planned to throw the election are ignoring the fact that Labour could not possibly have won an outright majority based on the seats they went into it with. Of course, Labour did very well. Far better than any of the projections had them doing. But they lost so many seats in 2015 that the mountain to climb was just too steep to have them win outright. Which immediately renders any plan to throw the election as completely implausible.
The question of this election was always how big May's majority would be. Or, to put it another way, how many wavering Labour supporters and disenfranchised UKIP voters the Tories could hoover up. And, because Theresa May is an incompetent liar with no backbone, no principles and no loyalty, she managed to come out with no majority at all.
Stupidity is always a more plausible explanation than malice, and this case is no exception. May b@ggered up the election because she is an awful leader and catastrophically underestimated her opponent.

Naomi, can you really, honestly not see how deceitful our PM is?
We're not holding an election
No wait, yes we are.
There won't be a cap on your social care expenses.
Yes there will, we're not telling you how much.
Labour's manifesto is uncosted.
I'm going to plant a million trees and move the civil service and a billion other things with nary a pound sign in sight.
etc etc
It's a complete joke. This woman's constant lies and spin are matched only by her incompetence at keeping up the charade of honesty.
