This Daily Mail report on the car crash interview Theresa May did on Newsnight is scathing.

I don't think I have ever seen the Mail so vicious toward a Conservative Prime Minister.

After reading that, there is little doubt that May is toxic, a lame duck and a dead woman walking.

Do you agree that she will now be removed sooner, rather than later?

every day she stays in office she makes Corbyn look more attractive. Which doesn't bother me, of course, but it ought to bother her party and its diehard voters that she's doing Labour's work for it..

Lots of folk keep talking as if TM is personally responsible for everything that is a tradgedy

There is a large Cabinet to assist her and Advisers who let her down.

Why don't we all give her a chance and 'let-up' on her for a short while.

Hans.

Don't be daft, Hans. They're on a roll ... ;o)
it seems the country and AB has a target to bully.
She deserves it Tora. But not for Grenfell.
She doesn't need to be equipped to negotiate Brexit. She needs to set the aim, the red lines, then leave it to her team who hopefully are better at driving a fair bargain at the table.
so it seems she is being pilloried for not politicking enough. You'd all prefer some fake sincerity and bung in some fake tears eh. Why aren't they picking on the builders who coated the building in flammable materials? Or the fire brigade for giving it a certificate? Nope let's blame the PM eh.
P/O 08.30, Cromwell Hero or traitor? Cons begging DUP for help, Ring any Bells?.
Not me saying that about Grenfell Tora. Quite the opposite. But, yes, she does deserve to be pilloried for throwing away a 20 point lead. Equating that to wanting a 'talking head' is a non sequitur.
I thought we were talking about the fire.
Not in all the posts Tora. May is coming in for some righteous stick about her leadership skills. I'm siding with those points whilst saying I don't believe that she's in any way responsible for Grenfell. Only a moron would think that.
Well, put it this way, ZM, it's a courageous PM who ever stands up and says "I am not responsible for what happens in the UK."
Bucks may go up as far as they manage, but we all know that responsibility for detail is given further down the chain. Hopefully some sanity will emerge soon and calmer minds work towards dealing with the situation openly and steadily.
Question Author
May's trick of not answering the question seems to have spread to ABers.

The question was, when the staunch Tory Mail are attacking you, is that a sign that your days as PM are numbered?

No one answered the question.
Of course she is partly to blame, its her in the position of PM,she is in charge of the country, its her and her party that keep cutting services and it is always the poor who suffer under the Tories!
She shows not one ounce of empathy, she is just not a natural, whereas Corbyn, the Queen, Prince William and others have got it in bucket loads.
gulliver, not so long ago Labour considered an alliance with the DUP. Ding dong. Nope. Nobody’s in.

Gromit, the Mail courts what it perceives to be the opinion of the permanently outraged – but I’m sure you know that..
I expect everyone thought the question rhetoric, Gromit.
No, but it doesn't bode well.
Totally different argument Jim. And totally spurious.
St.Peter, are you seriously suggesting that TM, having been PM for less than a year, is responsible for Grenfell due to cutting services? I refer you to my 10:18 post.
YES it will not be long before we hear" for whom the bell tolls" bye bye tories RIP.
Someone else living in CCL I see.
