Apparently the tenants of this flat gave their permission for these photos to be released.

I thought the building was too unsafe for anyone to go inside.

Bigbad....apparently not, as the Fire Fighters have been inside for a few days.
Oh, OK.
Must admit to not listening too much now when the news is on. Of course it was tragic, but the coverage has reached satuation point now.
Lol Minor Tours. In the labyrinth of PPs mind perhaps.
Mickey, the firefighters have been in the building, but mainly around the central stairwell which is designed to withstand such issues I think you will find.

Entering each flat for a thorough search is a different matter as some will not be safe. The building reached in excess of 1000 degrees so most building materials will become unstable at best.
Question Author
YMB....agreed. I presume that the flat shown in the link wasn't on one of the upper floors.
I doubt it very much, they will be totally devastated with virtually nothing recognisable hence the difficulty they have identifying victims.

Personally I do not want to see such photos of the top floor where people perished or have them published for the ghouls to drool over. I find it totally abhorrent when such images are printed.

Tending to agree with you on this YMB. I certainly shall not to posting any more photos of this kind
devastating which ever you look at it.
Ummmm why have a dig at the victim and not the perpetrator?
I have not opened the link, and I do not read any reports in papers, or watch any news reports about this dreadful incident.

I believe I know as much as is necessary about this incident, and images of what has occurred will not benefit me in any way in terms of understanding what has happened – nor I believe, do they benefit anyone else.

I am constantly reminded of the psychologist on Radio Four talking just after 911, about the contestant re-running of film of the planes hitting the towers. He advised that such constant repeating of such distressing images was really not good for anyone, and served no actual purpose at all.

Ever since then, I have avoided the levels of saturation coverage that tragedies attract with our modern media and its bottomless quest for images and comment – none of which helps anyone at all.

I agree with Andy here.

I think we knew very early on that the final death toll would be heading towards three figures such were the circumstances.

We seem to be getting regular updates on the increasing suspected death toll and yet it was stated early on that it would take time to identify victims etc.

I don't need to see photos either to alter my views on this terrible tragedy.
