Dreadful scenes on the back of being fed misinformation about the man's death - awful.
I'm waiting to see which side the labour frontbench line themselves up on - the severely depleted and underfunded police, or the severely depressed east London citizenry....
Absolutely disgusting. NO broken neck, a druggie and used as an excuse for violence. Bang the *** up.
***repressed***
auto correct grrrrr...
Playing devils advocate, the police are quick to say that the post mortom reveals that he did he did not die of a broken neck and that there was no evidence of violence and then go on to say that they think he died from a drug overdose that he may have taken?
Well if there has been a post mortem they would know what he died of!

Also why the extreme force when stopping him for a routine traffic stop? CS spray – was that really necessary?

There is more to this story!
Any excuse for the rabble to get out there, well supported by politicos of a certain hue.
All news is propaganda of one sort or another. How do we get to know the absolute truth ?
quite agree
if you want to arrest somone good - ( good n dead that is) then this is how you do it - I mean CS gas is a bit cissy innit ?

Islay. He had drugs in his system but they may not have been the cause of death. Post mortems are not necessarily definitive. It's not CSI.
just the great unwashed as usual using any excuse for a riot.
Scooping if there were drugs in his system they would be able to tell if there was sufficient quantity to cause his death!
It does not need to be CSI to get a cause of death!

The reason some have to be held down with such force is because they resist arrest so forcefully, if they just did what the police tell them to do, instead of having an inbuilt "you can't arrest me" and a "I hate cops" attitude.
Seems a depressingly regular event now. Someone doesnt get their own way or doesnt like something they riot.
Islay: Not right. The coppers said there were drugs in his system. They didn't say they were the cause of death. They also didn't say there was sufficient quantity to cause death, which is somewhat different. Also the case that different quantities and different types of drugs react differently, depending on the time period they were ingested, pre-existing medical conditions, whether the drugs concerned were 'diluted' and many other factors including whether he'd vomitted and, if so, when. It really is not as simple as you seem to be saying.
