This was a particular nasty murder of a vulnerable man who was tortured for months and forced to eat his own testicle.
But then what do you expect from a liberal left judiciary?

We get the same response on here, whenever court cases come up. How do people know that these people will get out after half their term is served ?
"Ringleader Zahid Zaman, 43, was told he must serve a minimum term of 33 years and Ann Corbett, 26, at least 27 years"
These are hardly soft sentences. This case sickens me as much as anybody else, but to keep calling for the rope is just peeing in the wind. The death penalty will never come back in Britain, because it will never deter people like this.

Even when Britain had the death penalty, it didn't deter folk from committing murder.
Death penalty works well in the US (not).
On the other side of the coin, with DNA and other advances for proving nasty stuff, maybe, just maybe there might be a reason for bringing death penalty back? (Don't agree with state sponsored murder btw)

I agree that the death penalty doesn't deter people like this. They just don't think they will ever get caught because to them they are not really doing anything wrong!!!
We are after all only human and some of us don't see the point of allowing people like this to blot the landscape, take up airspace and drain our resources.
We would rather hey be consigned to the hole they belong in and sent their poor victims to.
That I understand is why we have the judiciary to make sure we don't go rampaging about giving street justice.
