That it started under a Blair government and has absolutely nothing to do with 'Tory cuts'. Corbyn looked a fool suggesting unsafe cladding was the result of government cuts to local authority spending. It isn't. Tough luck Lefties.

May, the Tories, anyone really should refute all hyperbole spouted by whoever is opposing them. In this case the opposition have a duty to bring the governing body to task but when they are wrong (and probably know they are wrong) but say it for political advantage then it is right that May and the Tories point out in very loud terms why it is wrong etc. It won't...

And in Germany? Those Tory cuts get everywhere!

Remember though some do consider Bliar a bit of a Tory.
Corbyn also doesnt seem to get the fact time has moved on and also that Labour caused the 'austerity'!
Irrespective to any cuts to local authority spending by whichever party in power - was that a reason to use unsafe materials on these buildings ?
Can I ask a silly question?
When the cladding was installed did it meet the fire safety standards at time of installation?
The reason I ask is that all the news reports keep saying is 'the cladding has failed under current fire safety guidlines'

Islay: Pretty sure May said they didn't meet the standards at the time, which lays the problem at the door of local authority/fire and rescue service inspections, checks and, potentially, council labour forces and/or contractors. Unlike Labour, it seems to me unwise in the extreme to even attempt to apportion blame so early in the investigations. To make political capital of the deaths and ensuing homelessness, without any proof whatsoever of wrongdoing by the government, is despicable.
Islay if this is correct it may go some way to explaining why the cladding is failing the fire tests

It looks like the building contractors etc have been listening to the NHBC over the manufacturer.

Perhaps the NHBC need to answer a few questions as well?
quite disgusting the way Labour has tried to use this disaster to make political capital.

It won't stop some people seeing a conspiracy or lies or cover-ups from the Tories but sensible people might see the light.

To be honest this is something I think is right in general terms as well. Put the lie down and quash rummers with the actual truth.

Well said.

I said the other day that Corbyn and his cronies have been "ambulance chasing" with this disaster and other recent disasters, trying to score political points out of them.

The actions of a desperate man (after all he is 68 and probably knows it is his one and only chance for "power")
Corbyn and his will start to deny shortly that a previous labour government had anything to do with this or anything else ,just look at the cronies he surrounds himself with,Abbot being the perfect example of some one being in a position beyond there intelligence
