"It took a few minutes for it to sink in," she told BBC Radio 5 Live's Emma Barnett, because "we didn't see that result coming".

She can say that again !

Yes, must have been the worst campaign ever- a naive/bonkers manifesto (fox hunting? ending pensioner triple lock and means testing pensioner benefits, the dementia care costs issue ) and her clear discomfort in front of cameras, interviewers and the public (other than party faithful) while Corbyn was able to appear relaxed, caring, promising lots...

it's got to go down in history along side Kinnochio in 1992 as an example of how to lose and election. Even though she won it will seem like a loss. She'll have to go soon though to allow the new leader time to take on Kim jong Jezza. The Tories have never been slow in dropping a leader when they think they need to. I expect a stalking horses challenge within a year.
I agree 3T, although I think it'll be much sooner than a year.
Mikey, //I was just trying to highlight how human Mrs May is !//

Haaaaa! You’re all heart! AB really should keep an archive of classic posts! ;o)
For this interview to be the lead story on the BBC1 news is, ridiculous, and typifies the biased view of the anti Brexit, anti Conservatives, BBC.

It's not News. It's an interview.
She thought she had the backing and 'nads to be Thatcher II.

How wrong could she be? :)
/// while Corbyn was able to appear relaxed, caring, promising lots... ///

Yes it is easy to appear relax, caring and promising lots, when you don't have to foot the bill.

'Fiction-Factory', now isn't that a good name to call the Labour Party?
Can't believe she's still in power ...
"...Corbyn looked honest..."

Yes, he certainly made a decent fist of appearing honest, given that honesty and Corbyn are strangers to each other.
^ Bit like May really.
We can only hope that T/M does not do as much damage to the UK as the last female PM did . [ TBW ].

Ah, the Brains Trust is up and about at last.
Good heavens, its Cpl Jones, from Dad's army, havent heard from you in ages . Hows the weather at Walmington -on-Sea today then?

Wow, a Labourite out of bed at 0821, how unusual!
AOG, 13.59 Dream Factory, now isn't that a good name to call the Con Party ?.
