At any rate, you can condemn him all you like -- and I have done so myself on many an occasion -- but at the time his approach was very popular. Until it turned out to be a complete dud. Even when war finally came, as it was always going to, there were still those who praised Chamberlain's efforts for peace. I guess what I'm saying is that -- as ever -- it's easy to be wise after the fact.

Poor Winston, never been forgiven by the luvvies for being right. Your opponent is only as strong as you "allow" them to be. I rather like this tale when I read, and hear the threats tumbling out of the pyramid scheme.
//When the Macedonians, led by Alexander the Great’s father Philip, were conquering the surrounding area, they sent a message to the Spartans telling them that “You are advised to submit without further delay, for if I bring my army into your land, I will destroy your farms, slay your people, and raze your city.”
The message he got back from the Spartans was only one word.
“IF”
Philip left them alone after that.//

AOG & TTT You both know as well as I do that the comparison to the decision to appease the Nazis was ONLY to serve as a illustration of the scale of the problem. I agree that it is of a similar magnitude!
You are attempting to show that the EU shares values, reasoning and policy with the Nazis, which is absurd !

They are comparable ONLY in the scale of the problem which they pose!
You could have asked the question as
''Will leaving the EU Impoverish Millions?'' and used the same link.
But you chose to include the word 'Nazis' to provoke the response you wanted. You are lost on AB you should be writing headlines for The Daily Wail !!!
