Trump Removesthe Mooch
It seems that Gen Kelly has told Trump to get rid of Scaramucchi. This is descending into a Whitehouse Farce. Surely the subject of a comedy film sometime!

And that is the point in question. There are many unsuitable people in America, but Trump shouldn't be appointing them into key positions .....its his incompetent way of governing that is in question, and its been in question for many months.
That is why Trump is making America into a laughing stock, not the actions of any foul-mouthed and childish individual.
I have no doubt that you will dismiss all this as "leftie"
but why are you, and a very small amount of AB regulars, refusing to condemn Trump ?

jim, one of the big problems throughout the world is that often people are promoted into a job they are not competent in. Unfortunately many are left languishing in that job rather than putting them back in a job they culd enjoy and be more productive at.
The point I am making is that often you dont know if someone is at that point until you put them in the position. Clearly this is a case of sheer incompetence and he should not have been given the job, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing.

"Personally I don't see him as a laughing stock and since he clearly annoys you and your friends on here he is right up there in my estimate "
YMB.........There are known so blind and so deaf as those that won't hear or listen. At this rate, you will find yourself in a minority of one.
Trump annoys and embarrasses everybody, left and right, across the political spectrum.

So if someone joins your company and makes a couple of gaffes in the first wo days you fire them? You would not advocate allowing them a settling in period to make doubly sure they were incompetent?
Looks like you would do well in the US hire and fire mentality perhaps you should move there as it hardly fits your labour beliefs does it?

I guess the point is that you seem to be trying to make both the hiring and the firing of someone within such a short space of time look like brave and sensible decisions. That seems rather charitable; it didn't take long at all for "the Mooch" to show how unsuitable he was for the job, so one wonders how he managed to get the role in the first place.
Yes he should have gone. No, he shouldn't have been there. No, this does not reflect well on Trump.

YMB....this has nothing whatsoever to do with my Labour beliefs. Scaramucci was obviously not up to the job, and Trump should have known that.
There is a theory going around in Washington that Trump isn't as stupid as he appears, )!) and that he did know what Scaramucci was like, but still went ahead and gave him the job anyway, because he likes to see people squabbling. Anyway, it takes the spotlight away from his own personal problems, with his extended family and its dubious contacts with Russia.

// .....often people are promoted into a job they are not competent in.// Peter Principle - people are promoted to their level of incompetence.
//Unfortunately many are left languishing in that job rather than putting them back in a job they could enjoy and be more productive at.// - Peter didnt say 'Fire them' did he ?

"No one knows what a man will do until you put them in a position of power" Creon (Antigone, 500BC)
// Clearly this is a case of sheer incompetence and he should not have been given the job, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing.//
You know I was thinking about this applied to trump - wonderful business man and terrible president - if only people had known
In this case the American People are showing no hindsight at all
Ploosa change - c'est la meme chose !
It is nice to see these old points being given another outing

// YMB.....Trump didn't need hindsight. Scaramucci's reputation was known long before he was appointed. //
yeah after Hurrican Katrina and the disastrous response of FEMA - someone said : "I know ! why dont we hire people who can run these agencies - instead of useless political appointees ?"
He said it you know like it was a new revelation from the Bible or something - rather than an obvious statement

I suggest you log onto the US answer site Quora and look at the comments about Trump on there! I have not seen one answer from anyone that approves of him. Many are saying things like ''he makes me ashamed to be American''
I am a member of Quora , it has very many UK members and there are a lot of questions about the UK.
