Yes, I am fully aware that there are problems with legalising or decriminalising drugs, you have pointed out some of them and your concerns are valid.But I have come to the conclusion that the problems with legalising drugs and allowing use under controlled conditions are a lot less than the ones we have at the moment.
I have some inside knowledge of the illegal drug scene as my daughter is a cannabis user, I am trying every way I can think of to stop or cut down her use of it.

Eddie....you have my sympathy with your daughter problems. Luckily, my family have never had any issues with drug addiction, and long may that continue.

I was in Amsterdam recently where cannabis – and all sorts of things made with cannabis including cakes and chocolate - are on sale. I wonder how much of a social problem that really creates? Anyone know?

More of a problem with tourists I would say.

When I was in Amsterdam I was offered pills or charlie every 5 minutes or so.

Legalising cannabis is one thing, but legalising heroin and other Class A drugs is quite another. I am still unclear how we proceed with the legalisation of "Charlie"

I used to smoke a fair bit of cannabis, I dont anymore and I was never ever tempted to try anything else.
I did try magic mushrooms once, never touched them again, I had to have 2 days off work from the pulled muscles in my stomach from laughing so much at my canary, every time the canary laughed, I laughed!! Not good!
