stabbed i the back by one of those flaming torches in Charlottesville
doesnt it remind you of 1484 ? yeah Richard III's reign
when the Venetian Ambassadie wrote home ( to Venice for those slow readers ) "you turn your back - and you turn around another Lord has been beheaded"
(Josephine Tey Daughter of Time)
(this is a studied comment to contrast the usual AB fare of:
"what dat den" - "who dat steve den" - "this thread is the stupidest leftie thread since well the last one and the writer is a thick illiterate hunchbacked dwarf" etc etc and even "dont read this thread!" everyone!"

The relationship between Trump and Bannon seems to have been a complex one,. He was savaged by Scaramucci (who wasn't) and had been pushed to one side, then brought back, etc
He shoots from the hip, and maybe there's only room for a limited number of those in Trumpworld. Of course he did, in a very recent interview, brand the far-right in the US as a "collection of clowns" and "losers". Despite actually being, in many people's eyes, a representative of that group. Maybe that was the last straw (dives for cover).

as you say, he actually came out against the Nazis more forcefully than his boss did; that may have proved unforgiveable. But it may have been Kelly rather than Trump who did the pushing; he seems to have an agenda to make the White House wacko-free (which would deprive the public of a lot of entertainment).
and Bannon has rejoined Breitbart.
s/o has tweeted that trump world that the great american public elected, is over. Does seem remarkable they voted for a wall that mehico would pay for - to deprive other people of basic health care - and to suck american industry back across a border from cheap labour to more expensive labour. I thought these were optional add-ons.
[I mean no one would vote to deprive people of health care because the next time - it might be them]

Yes of course Mickey, so blinkered by hatred and such a closed mind you really cant see can you.
He certainly is not the best, but then he is not a career politician. Never before has the media (and left wing) gone for a President from the outset with such venom and hatred, yet he is still there.
Illegitimi non carborundum Donald !

As always, it depends on what your priorities are. Pence has a much less sympathetic record on gay rights than Trump does, and also comes from the rather mad religious/evangelical wing of american politics. He's not quite as insane as other fringe Republicans like Mike Huckabee, but he's not too far off.
Whether he'd actually be an improvement on Trump is hard to say. He would be much less likely to alienate the party in congress, so you might actually see somebody who is more capable of achieving his goals, but at the same time his goals might be rather insidious.
So... who knows?
