What an absolute disgrace, but would you expect any difference from abbots constituency?

I think it's the burka and the language which is the problem, not ty
the skin colour.

Which the poster very well knows.

SP, I’m not saying that, but I would say it’s important to place children with people whose culture is very similar to their own. Would you not agree, SP?
To speak the same language and not be coerced into a religion should be the least a child can expect - alongside the obvious food, warmth and clothing of course.
Food, warmth, clothing and care. The care bit is important.

This child is not being cared for.
Taken from the Ofsted report:

"Parallel planning and permanence plans are progressed speedily for most children, and appropriate use is made of family group conferences, connected people and special guardians to ensure that children are placed permanently with family members who reflect their ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds."

Personally I don't see what ethnicity has to do with anything. But then I'm a racist bigot, not an Ofsted inspector.

(Perhaps you'd like to chase the matter up with Ofsted, SP.)

//Personally I don't see what ethnicity //

Neither do I.
Latest- The girl is now back with her parents.
Yes. Having endured a most dreadful episode which will probably remain with her for many years to come. And all because "Social Workers" (or whichever council employees presided over this chaotic shambles) have less sense than they were born with.
dannyk - according to the Daily Wail she is actually at a grandmothers not her parents.
Sorry Islay, Global news said she was with her parents.
The only thing that matters ois that she is away from the Muslim fosterers.
danny I can only agree with some of your statement it was not that the carers that were muslim that was an issue - it was that they tried to force their extreme look at their religion on the child.
I am sure that she could have lived happily with other muslim families without the same outcome.
I am glad the little one is now in a better environment.
Why should there be a risk of culture class? Surely there are enough fosterers of each culture?
I don't know the given number of Foster carers in any one area, but that isn't the issue.

Carers should be open to caring for all children without the carers culture and or beliefs affecting their care.

As I said above and beyond the accepted levels a child needs whilst in temporary care - language they understand is key.
As v_e says; "I think it's the burka and the language which is the problem, not ty the skin colour. "
Indeed, I only know one practising Muslim well, he is perfectly normal (clean-shaven) businessman and I would be comfortable with him and his wife to care for any child, and from what I know of our Keyplus, ditto.
Yes, with grand-parents:

As for "incompetence" (NJ's post) note that an old friend is involved. From the article:

'Amid the growing row over the child's care arrangements, The Telegraph can disclose that an extremist Islamic preacher helped in the recruitment of foster parents .
The imam, Shakeel Begg, hosted a workshop for would-be foster carers just months after the High Court ruled him an “extremist Islamic speaker” who had “promoted and encouraged religious violence”.
The event was organised on behalf of the London borough of Lewisham as part of a drive to find more Muslims willing to foster children.'

He was the guy who sued (unsuccessfully) the BBC over a remark by Andrew Neil. Oh, and the imam of the Lewisham mosque which gave us the Lee Rigby killers.
As girl is now with her grandparents why on earth was she not fostered with them in the first place?
Khandro at 13:01 final line, are you sure about that?
Good clear explanatory link that, thank you and what a wise Judge Khatun Sapnara is, especially to allow the Reporter to remain to get more salient facts out after the media furore.

Hope the child soon has more stability within her life.
