The 'final Solution'
Just watching some TV and I don't understand why, when the Nazis attained power early in 1933, they waited until 1942 to carry out the mass extermination of the Jews. Absolutely no axe to grind, just puzzled.

If people, especially Scooping, wants to learn more about the origins of the Holocaust, then there plenty of books helpfully mentioned on this thread, that will tell him the truth.

Sorry about the last post -- for some reason, this thread has become the victim of an AB bug where the post count is apparently one less than the actual number of posts. I wish I knew why that happened... but I was wanting to create a "false" 61st post so I could actually read with mikey wrote.
Anyway, I think that's an end of the wiki/Irving diversion, for my part at least.

Jim....if you page down to the bottom of most Wiki entries, including the one about Irving, you will see plenty of references to support the main text.
But the conclusion at the top of the page makes it abundantly clear, that Irving IS a Holocaust denier and that was why I mentioned him in the first place.
No matter how long you research, and how deeply that research goes, you won't find anything that supports his view that the Holocaust didn't happen, and that Hitler not only didn't know anything about, but actually opposed it.
To believe that millions of people could have been killed in a genocide by German forces and Hitler wasn't aware is just plain stupid.

He denies the Holocaust precisely because he is a racist and a bigot.
Even after losing his home and most of his money as a result of losing the libel case ( a libel case that HE brought), he still continues to deny the Holocaust. One of the reasons for this is that he now the darling of the American Ultra Far Right, which now actively support him.
I am guessing here, but if he stopped denying the Holocaust, than the never ending requests for him to appear at Ultra Far Right meetings, mostly American, would soon stop arriving, along with his only source of funding.

It seems that some very important people still deny that the Holocaust happened :::::
