Tvs Strike Detective Prog. Like What Happened?

Have I got the story correct? I lost track of this.
LULA was pushed out of her balcony (in a Georgian house without a balcony) and killed. Next her bestie pal was killed.
Strike found out her brother did it (even though he pretended to be outraged) because he wanted the inheritance that Lord and Laby' B' had left LULA and hoped Strike wd unearth LULA's Will by chance in investigating (a Will in which LULA had left the inheritance and her modelling dosh to her pal). (Whilst Laby B was still alive? like huh?). Have I got this correct?
(The plot very similar to Raymond Chandler story 'The Little Sister').
The brother thought the pal had the Will and bumped her off to get it but did not realise that LULA had hidden the Will in her designer bag. Why? Plus he kept in the best serial killer tradition (often mentioned in Law and Order Special Victims Unit) a souvenir of a previous slaying - a bike bell. This ran a bell with Strike as Lady B had mentioned the cycle death of her young son to him.
But if LULA went and had a Will and was loaded and educated she wd have gone to a solicitor to get a Will drawn up. Solicitors are required by law to keep a copy. Besides Wills have to be witnessed by 2 people so 'hunt the Will down and slay for it' was a rather daft plot. But what eluded me was why the brother wanted the dosh? Failed biz or investments etc? The usual?
Plus everybody was so cavalier to all the deaths all 'tra la la next moody pout please!' next trot through a designer flat and shop. Next advert for gorgeous London. I was a tad bored by the end. I had no interest in who why what. Just lost about what was meant to have happened? But is that the gist of the story folks?

Martin Shaw who was the old lady's brother tried to stop them adopting Lula as he suspected that the brother John had murdered Charlie and was afraid the same would happen to Lula, which it did.
Lula had made contact with her birth brother (same father, different mother) but he resisted meeting her because of the effect it would have on his mother. John found out she had made contact with her brother and that she had done a will leaving him all her money.
He therefore killed her as he wanted all the money. He was unable to find the will, but Strike realised where it was when the old lady said she had brought back some mementos from Lula's flat, so he pretended to go to the loo in the old lady's house and found the will in Lola's handbag. He had been told that designer bags could have their linings removed when he was with the model who he slept with and who offered him drugs which were hidden in her bag.
The brother John wanted Strike to say that her real brother killed her, but Strike was too clever.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope that my long-winded and a bit rambling explanation helps you to understand it.
