Here's another one for Barmaid, who is a solicitor, that also does not rely on greed or desperation but simply being tricked into thinking you're talking to somebody different ("man in the middle attack"):

One of the problems today is that everything is too instant. Often in days of yore there was time to think before sticking the stamp on and posting your cheque to a Nigerian Prince who had 5Bn stuck in an account. Nowadays at the click of a button your hard earned is winging its way to 'Prince' Winston Kodogo before the scam as had time to sink in.
