Salute The New Emporer Of Europe.
If any those voting to remain have any doubts as to if they made the right choice, does this speech help you decide unequivocally?
"In his state of the union speech, European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker went off-script to say that he thinks Britain ‘will regret’ voting to leave the EU. And he said that he wants EU enlargement, the Schengen area opened to Romania and Bulgaria, a European ‘defence union’, a more powerful president, for member states to adopt the euro, and for public money to be given to pro-EU political parties while it is denied to ‘anti-European extremists’."

UK people have visited, lived and worked in Europe long before the EU was born. There is no doubt that visiting will be no problem after Brexit. There is also little doubt that being able to live and work there will be fairly easy. It will involve a bit of paperwork (or more likely a bit of an online application). And if it isn't easy, why would you want to go to a country that doesn't want you?
The "rights" that you so proudly relish werre obtained at a huge cost to the UK by it having to comply with the multitude of EU strictures. Quite simply, they ain't worth the hassle. You don't have the same rights to live or work in any other country. They want to know who you are and what you can bring to them. That's how it should be. The UK will insist on this and it is only right and proper that EU nations will do the same. Then we can become a "normal" country again.

Yes, with the unelected Commission making (or at least, if you wish, proposing) policy and the elected "parliament" having power only to endorse, delay, call for review or at the very most impose a moratorium on, the latest Commission power grab, we have a juggernaut with no reverse gear, dodgy brakes and a direction which cynics might think is capricious and self-serving.

Actually I think people like Eddie should be allowed to get/retain an EU passport.
However it would hold no sway and have no benefit (i.e. ECHR etc) in the UK. They would also have to fund the passport themselves. They would pay the EU direct for all the benefits they get.
How much does the UK pay per head for the benefit of EU membership? Perhaps individually people like Eddie could get say a 10% discount by not having to pay for the things he won't have access to!!
Maybe it should just be an EU travel document rather than passport!!?
