When has a female trousered knee become a sex object?

I don't suppose a sexual thought went through this chaps head, show business people are very touchy feely 'lovey-dovey' people anyway.

Yes, I was thinking exactly the same Eccles. I wonder what his supporters think to some of his unbelievably crass comment on this thread?

You no damn well that I wasn't referring to the woman on the show, but some of those who were perfectly willing to try the casting couch out, in the hope that it might further their careers.
Do you seriously believe that men are weak and less in control of their bodies and thereby can legitimately use this as an excuse for touching up women?
I have come to the conclusion after reading this that AOG is a wind up merchant and likes to wind up us mere mortals so that we lose it with him and then he gets to scream bully!

Once again as always committed in your quest to round up your bullying gang.

This once again was a perfectly reasonable thread and as in all debates I seem to hold a different opinion to some of you, but that doesn't give anyone the right to call me misogynistic, staggeringly insulting to women. and holding ridiculous bigoted opinions.

I will now no longer respond to this thread, but leave it to those in authority to witness what you are trying to do once again, don't forget you have been warned once, the next time could see the end to the likes of you.

Which wouldn't be a big loss to this site.
See ^^
Classic, cliched predictable response.
The thread was never ‘reasonable’ because you expressed an opinion in the headline with your ‘oh dear’ comment. You’ve been pulled up on this many many times before and told that doing so prejudices your posts right from the start.
You haven’t been bullied, you’ve had your opinions challenged and criticised.
You could script these threads - bet he's got an Equity card.
It's a reasonable question to ask but the problem is that you don't seem to like the answer. Always, this seems to come down to the idea that the irresponsible behaviour of some people is best dealt, men in particular, is best dealt with by a firm word or a firm slap -- which is fine up to the point where it also seems that if it's *not* met so, then that's entirely the fault of the victim (or the person on the receiving end). Why must it be so? Why not look at the person who started it? And change *their* behaviour? And stop it in the first place by challenging the assumption that invasions of personal space, or sexual advances, or physical contact, are acceptable until explicitly told otherwise?

*That's* the problem here. People are looking for a way to justify Sandler's actions and blame Foy for not responding appropriately. Which is a backwards and outdated analysis and, hopefully, is on the way out.
Kath - She didn't have to do more than she did. The cameras captured the look on her face as I'm sure the audience and the other guests did.

Why should she make a fuss in front of a live audience and risk never being asked on a chat show again?

She dealt with it as a professional should in the circumstances.
Public outrage now goes up to 11.
I haven't read any answers that appear to be outraged. Did you mean on here or elsewhere?
I'm 64 and only managed slight bemusement, maybe 11 year olds have more pent up tension and energy.
It has now got ridiculous. Many of these so called sexual harassments are nothing more than bad manners or in some cases arrogance. It will get to the point soon where men simply wont want to go near a woman for fear of what they will be accused of.

In addition we have lost control of the justice system, it is all trial by media, in particular TwitFace. It is all so very wrong, whatever happened to trial by jury and innocent until proven guilty?
And let us remember it is not just men that act inappropriately. I have been groped by women more than once in the office and quite a few times in the pub with work colleges. And it wasnt always welcome (once bloody painful as the lass was a bit too popped up and used a bit too much of a grip!)

Should I be joining #metoo?
I certainly don't see what happened as sexual harassment and think a trial is totally uncalled for.

The OP brings us Twitter daily.

I saw an ungentlemanly act and a lack of respect and response to a fellow guest.

Can women get out of hand? You bet they can.

But this is not about sexual assault - its about a man not realising despite some pretty obvious hints that he attentions and hands on approach is unwanted and inappropriate.
Going on to your dismissal of #metoo, are you saying that these women some that have been raped should be quiet about it?
^^^^^ Interesting how you have introduced the phrase sexual harassment as being ridiculous. There's no fear of being accused if you behave appropriately. No one is suggesting this guy is being accused of either something ridiculous, or something he didnt do. It was live on TV for all to see, not dreamt up by social media.
Sorry, my reply was to youngmafboy

AOG "As in most of these recent cases the women have thrown themselves at the weaker/less in control of their bodies men, in pursuit of their careers or to be 'pally' with their idols. To some men they are like candy in a candy shop."

Good analogy.....you don't touch the candy in the candy shop without permission either.

Someone else on here...think it was Mikey....seems to think that there are only two reasons for a human to touch another human in a social situation and that is a sexual gesture or a friendly one.....I would suggest that people also do it to bully and/or humiliate, also simply out of bad mannered thoughtlessness.
