I am not sure if this has been brought up on AB before.

I hope that a full enquiry is started, to find out how this horrible man was allowed to adopt this poor little girl. Cases like this make my blood run cold.....what a wicked, wicked man.

I saw this on last night's news. It genuinely made me feel sick. Poor, poor baby.
Savage should not see the light of day again. The problem is the social services and adoption people are more concerned with PC cobras than evaluating proper adopters. They share the blame here too.

We have seen too many of these offences over the years.

The one that continues to stick in my mind is the case of Daniel Pelka.....that little lads face staring out of the newspapers will continue to haunt me for some time to come.
TTT, I agree with you.
Mikey, I was just thinking about little Daniel yesterday. Breaks my heart.

TTT....I agree about this 'orrible man, but the authorities should be taken to task, as to why they ignored all the evidence that was available. If they had done their job properly, Elsie would probably still be with us.
Little Baby P, or Peter as we knew him later.
I'd strangle the *** with my own hands.
What evidence do you know about, Mikey?
This child was removed from her drug addicted mother I think at birth, great news for the baby to find a couple who adopted her . social services , gp,hospital, missed the ongoing abuse this child was suffering. One has to ask would she still be alive had she not been removed from her mothers care ?
mikey: "...but the authorities should be taken to task, as to why they ignored all the evidence that was available" - yes indeed but this keeps happening because they are more interested in PC cobras than doing a proper job, "its their culture" yada yada yada. Get some operatives with an ounce of common, anyone can see this lowlife should not be anywhere near kids.
What evidence?
My question as well Tilly, what evidence TTT is there to suggest this man was unsuitable to adopt a child ?
Do you think we might get an answer, Anne?
Who knows Tilly, but I'll be interested in anyone's views re this poor child's wretched life, I may be wrong but I think this couple have a previous adopted child .
Abusers are good actors and good liars!!

Social services are stretched to breaking point.
My daughter adopted a 12wk old baby girl last year. The hoops that have to be jumped through is unbelievable.
In my daughter's case, as soon as the adoption papers have been signed that's the end of the matter for the social services. There were no follow up visits by social workers. Up to that date twice weekly visits were made.
I think this is a tragic case.
Very sad. I don't think the social service could have intervened.
My son woke up about 6 times a night almost every night. I probably shouted a few times. It drive me to .... I certainly didn't squeeze him or shake him. My dad was the same with my sister. Both grew up to be happy and healthy.

I can't see any mention of another adopted child with Scully-Hicks and his partner.
Good, throw away the key. Heads should roll. Baby P comes to mind. Isn't she out of jail?
Social Services intervened 15 times and yet this poor little girl was left in the care of this truly wicked man.

"what evidence TTT is there to suggest this man was unsuitable to adopt a child ? " - well we are not party to the whole picture are we but pound to a penny If I had his files there'd be something.
