SP you talk sense so it will probably be ignored.
AOG - your comments towards Islay were removed!

Sp - quite correct. If people acted like they do in their social media pictures a large majority would walk about pouting and looking in mirrors.
hi sp "It’s possible that these photos were taken from her Instagram or Facebook account".
surely she must have agreed to the use of those photos or got paid for their use for the article

/// How she appears in those photos is not necessarily how she presents herself at work. ///

Obviously not, surely her employers would not allow her to dress in such a fashion. But it shows that she thinks she is sexually attractive and is not frightened to flaunt it, most wouldn't.

/// For instance, there are hundreds of thousands or perhaps even millions of photos of people on holiday drunkenly dancing at nightclubs - that doesn’t mean that they are alcoholic loons nine to five. ///

In this case your analogy doesn't work.
Some of the photos were taken while she was at work.

When you take on a bar job in sports bars and such like generally speaking at interview if you don't come across as bubbly and outgoing and willing to wear daft outfits you won't get the job.

Getting chatted up by drunk blokes is par for the course in any and every pub and club in the land and if you can't cope then it isn't the job for you.

This is just so not news and is simply bandwagoning that it saddens me that so much media time has been given over to this type of hype.

There will come a point when people will just ignore a lot of abuse claims because it is being watered down to pleb level.
Hmm, not shy is she?
Absolutely agree, being chatted up and nudge nudge comments are almost (sadly) part of the job description.

Being groped and followed home ? I think not.

My comments based on what we are all reading of course.

Mamyalynne

/// She said she was regularly pestered for sex and that one Labour MP followed her home after a boozy night in the bar and was even groped her on a bus. ///

I think that most if not all of us would agree that type of harassment is not acceptable. But one has to ask why didn't she report him to the bus driver and then the police?
One does wonder yes, maybe someone will ask her.
The 'racier' photographs were taken from her Instagram account. It says so at the bottom left of the pics.
AOG and mamy, maybe because it never happened?
Perhaps if people read these articles in their entirity they might find the answers to thei own questions.....?
A lot of dirty old men out there ...
AOG

So some of the photos were indeed taken from Instagram.

I’ve seen this happen before. You know when there’s a huge news story and newspapers suddenly have photos online of the subject in the next couple of hours? It’s because they’ve been scraped from social media.

And even if the person involved has their account locked just ‘friends only’, the media can get around that by searching their friends accounts, until they can find photos linked to the person in question.

Bottom line - it’s not relevant if this young lady dresses up as a sexy Santa or whatever, patrons need to know boundaries.

Most people know the unspoken boundaries.

Just about everyone I know knows where the line is.

The problem is - some people don’t know where the line is.

...or perhaps they are unaware that any such line exists.
Or they just don't care, SP.
Sorry Jack, I was guilty of not reading all your link too, have now.

Following the incident on the bus.

//She jumped off ( the bus )and asked her bosses the next day if she should go to the police — but was told nobody would believe her.//
What amazes me is that an MP travels by bus!
He's have struggled to squeeze her thigh if he hadn't followed her onto the bus Jack.

//I will stop being rude to you on the 5th of never!//

If anyone, including Islay or AOG, continues to be rude to any member, you'll be suspended or banned because I can't be the only one getting sick of it. There's no need to be nasty to each other.
