... complained that ‘thousands of emails had been unlawfully obtained’
You couldn’t make it up!
It’s nice to be even in a position to sack the police when they’re on your case :-)
My bet is he won’t ...

I don't think he will either Itchy, but given his ability to carry out his duties, with the assurance of a fruit fly, who can tell !
As I said in another thread yesterday. There is strong speculation that
Mueller's special report has finally uncovered the 'smoking gun' evidence that will be grounds for impeachment. Trump will not be allowed to fire Mueller, congress will overrule him if he tries it.
Unless I’m misunderstanding this firing the man will not destroy a negative report – if such a report exists.
^ Try explaining that to Trump.
I've no doubt he realises that.
^ Trump has still not realised that he is not just running his own company where he can just fire anyone who is a threat or with who he does not agree and have the evidence destroyed.
Doubtless you have inside information, Eddie.
I have no inside information naomi. I read the news just as you can if you so choose. This is what has caused the present crisis.

The 'smoking gun' is thought to be that Mueller now has the actual proof that Trump ordered his lawyer to lie on his behalf by issuing a false tweet. If so that is 'obstruction of justice' which is grounds for impeachment .
Eddie, I do read the news. My post at 08:17 stands.
^ Exactly naomi, I 100% agree. But my point is that Trump is too stupid / ignorant / bigoted to realise it.
I doubt that, Eddie - and even if he is, his advisers won't be.
Question Author
Eddie....Trump has ignored his advisors in the past.

If these allegation appear to be the truth, Mueller would seem to have located the smoking gun, and even if all the other things about Trump....his racist nature, his misogyny, and his plain stupidity, won't be effective in kicking him out of the White House, these revelations could well be.

To quote from the BBC link :::

"Responding to questions over the legal row, Mr Trump said it was "not looking good" and his people were "very upset".

We can expect that Trump may not intervene directly, but a campaign of bad-mouthing against Mueller will begin soon.
Exciting innit! ;o)
Exciting is not the word I would use to describe it. More despair that someone as demonstrably unsuited to and unfit for the role as Trump is can become President of the USA, and therefor the most powerful man in the world.
Question Author
Eddie....I think frightening would be my word !
I get the impression that Trump excites you, Eddie. My mistake perhaps. ;o)
No he does not excite me ,mikey has it , Trump frightens me as well.
Not only does Trump often ignore his advisors, he dismisses those who do not tell him what he want's to hear. He only wants 'Yes Men'.
But you naomi have always seemed to be among Trump's most ardent admirers.
