It might be best if you had read the interim report before summarising it, Mikey. It would be politically useful to try and blame all this on "austerity" but the matter isn't that simple, as Mamy points out, it is highly complex and we will have to bide our time rather than jumping yo preconcieved conclusions and attempting to make some sort of political capital out of this tragedy.
Hazi....I am not making a political point out of this, nor am saying that "austerity" played any part on the disaster.
But the report quite clearly says that said a "cultural change" was needed instead of "doing things cheaply".
Those are not my words, but the words of Dame Judith Hackitt, and she used them on the Today Programme yesterday morning.
I come back to my original point about the cladding....cheaper cladding, more risk of catching fire....that cannot be ignored
