You are old Mr Corbyn the young man said
And your hair is exceedingly white,
and yet you insist with your long lost cause, do you think at your age this is right.?

You are old Mr Corbyn the young man said
and your back is all buckled and bent,
and still you continue on getting the hump, don't you think that it's high time you went.?

You are old Mr Corbyn the young man said
and you garble away like a fool,
the dribble you talk and the way that you walk, do you think that you really look cool ?

You are old Mr Corbyn the young man said
Please quit whilst you still have some face,
you lied through your teeth over varsity fees, in fact you're a f.....g disgrace.

Brilliant. Lewis Carroll would approve.
He was a paedophile so not sure I care whether Lewis Carroll would approve or not :/
You talents as a poet are completely lost on us Khandro....give these people a ring

...and your evidence to suggest he was a paedophile?
And which part of this is news ?
This has been rumoured or, at the very least, hinted at for years. Even the Telegraph looked into it: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/bbc/11368772/BBC-investigates-whether-Lewis-Carroll-was-repressed-paedophile-after-nude-photo-discovery.html

Unlikely to be any way of (dis)proving it now, of course.
We may be strange bedfellows, jackdaw, but I agree with you - there is indeed bûgger all evidence - as any decently read young woman should know.

Read this beautifully balanced piece, kval :

Amusing, but I can’t see why Lewis Carroll being a paedophile or otherwise is relevant – and I can’t see why this is in ‘News’ either. With so many categories now out of sight, ‘News’ is becoming a first choice for anything and everything. A bit of a dumping ground.
Perhaps it should have gone in jokes ?
Mikey, no joke ... but Corbyn's lies are hardly 'News' now.
It's not relevant excepting my answer was to Jackdaw's post seeming to think Lewis Carroll would approve ( is Jack a Clairvoyant one wonders?) was important. I pointed out he's a curious sort of hero given that many ( including his own biographers) hold that, Victorian norms on child nudity and sexuality aside, he had an unhealthy interest in pre-pubescent little girls. The whole post is irrelevant tbh, but what's new?
"He was a paedophile so not sure I care whether Lewis Carroll would approve or not :/ "

Who, Jeremy Corbyn?
It doesn't seem fair to me to castigate the long-dead and brilliant Rev Dodgson when as far as anyone knows he never harmed anyone and what is more cannot defend himself.
^I agree.

ichi; This is a rare moment indeed; I agree with you without reservation :0)

Does it, I wonder, make people feel more important to put a nonsense post in the News Topic?
"It's not relevant excepting my answer was to Jackdaw's post seeming to think Lewis Carroll would approve ( It's not relevant excepting my answer was to Jackdaw's post seeming to think Lewis Carroll would approve ( is Jack a Clairvoyant one wonders?)"

All I was pointing out was that he would have approved of his verses being adapted to fit other circumstances. I don't need a lecture from some 'theatrical'.
Baldric, I don't think that's the issue. Simply that posts in hidden topics are likely to remain unnoticed - hence the plethora of guff we're getting in News of late.
Actually Jackdaw, a lot of creatives detest their work being adapted by other people, but then not being a 'theatrical' you wouldn't know that necessarily would you? And for once I agree with Naomi, this has no business being in News.
Listen, Snowflake, you don't have a monopoly on opinions on this site.
