I had the impression that she knew her killer. I am not sure where that impression came from. It now looks as if it was random attack....time will tell.
I have just spoken to a friend who lives in Skipton about this.Apparently the man walked into the store brandishing a knife and this poor girl went to challenge him. This is begining to look like being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
domestic could mean anyone in the same house, doesn't have to be a husband (not even a relative if, say, they had a boarder). On the other hand you'd normally expect a domestic incident to happen at home.
Could have been anyone. I expect we'll find out. Very sad.
“ I ask simply ask this because I just do not know the answer.
A poor woman goes to work not knowing that she will never arrive home again to her husband and little girl.
What monster could do this and why? “
Ahh, I love your passion, incidentally there have been a wave of young poor black and white teenagers stabbed to death in a horrendous way in case you’ve missed it”
Back to the op, possibly an ex, a stalker or some random psychopath is my best guess.
Random psychopath seems most likely. From what I can gather she confronted him with the knife. Nothing as yet to suggest he had come looking for her specifically.

Who could possibly miss it, when they happen on almost daily basis?
But how can you compare this horrible stabbing with those committed by gangs of crazed youngsters who insist on carrying knives so as to gain respect man?
aog
many of the victims of knife crime are innocent bystanders, perhaps like this poor woman, who may happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
