I would hardly call it a "spree". Dictionary says "a spell or sustained period of unrestrained activity of a particular kind".

That hardly applies to 3 killing in 36 years.

However the BBC web site says after the second killing
"He was sent to a secure hospital indefinitely after killing her while their baby daughter slept nearby."

I wonder what part of thew word "indefinitely" the authorities did not understand ?

emmie, one manslaughter charge and he may have got say 10 years, but then a 2nd one? The second one should have been 'Life' yet still he got released to kill a 3rd time! That is what does not add up.

Yet he was let out again to commit a murder!!!.
At least he will get life this time and hopefully a 'full life tariff' meaning he can never be released.
I would like to see details of the court case for the second manslaughter conviction and why he avoided a 'life' sentence.
