When will he understand that he’s yesterday’s man and that Brexit is going to be ushered in. Control is out of his hands - and his frustration is palpable.

Notice the distinct lack of comment regarding Iran, never mind his reticence when it comes to European matters. After his ploy of encouraging the youth of Britain to take to the streets and demonstrate he is very reluctant to applaud the young people of Iran who are demanding that their democratic rights be reinstated. Perhaps he is less than enthusiastic about criticising his pals from the funders of Muslim terrorist groups after publicly endorsing their views, and himself receiving campaign funds from them.
Togo. Perhaps it’s a requirement of the Labour Party that its leaders keep their brains in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

I listened to this interview live earlier this morning.
What he is saying is that the final say on our departure should be made by the Houses of Parliament, and if the conditions of our departure differ markedly from what we were all promised in the lead up to the Referendum in 2016, then Parliament has the right to vote to think again.
One of the reasons why people voted for Brexit, apart from the obvious issue of xenophobia and immigration, was that we wanted control over our future.
But that control should achieved through the HOP, not a small clique of Tory Party members, and just what is so wrong about that ?

What happens in Iran is nothing to do with Corbyn. He is leader of the UK official Opposition Party, not the Foreign Secretary
Speaking of the Foreign Secretary, Boris, whose job it is to speak up on such matters, is deadly silent. Perhaps he does not want to double that poor lady's jail sentence like the last time he spoke on Iran.

At this moment in time I am not sure what else he can do. The west cannot dictate what another country does. And as you point out if he lays in too much the Iranian Government has an easy thumbscrew to turn. I can already hear the howls of anguish from the liberals like you if he speaks out in support of the protestors and the lady gets another 5 years.
Damned if he does, damned if he doesnt.

The implication here seems to be that Corbyn should be committing to completely overturn Brexit if he wins and that anything else is "timidity." This is certainly what Campbell (who still holds influence in the Labour party) seems to be urging, along with Blair (who seems to have considerably less influence these days).
Even if one is an arch-remainer and thinks Brexit is a crap idea (which I confess I do), it's hard to see how this is sound advice or a particularly useful criticism for the Labour leadership. If an incoming government were to reverse policy at this point, the immense harm it would do to society and to faith in the UK's political institutions would take lifetimes to undo.

//Anyway, would it help if he were to come down in favour of the protesters cause ?//
I am sure it would help immensely, those of us who would like to know what he really thinks, regarding freedom of speech and the democratic rights of young people............Or do those rights only "matter" when it suits his purpose?
Perhaps he cannot bring himself to criticise fellow anti Semites.
