The Pakistani military is packed with Taleban and al Qaeda sympathisers. Pakistan was given ‘aid’ from Saudi Arabia 30-40 years ago to build schools. Unfortunately that meant that the last two generations have been indoctrinated in extreme Islamic fundamentalism, which means Pakistan today is full of dangerous people, many in military and security positions.
But it might be an instance of chopping off its nose to spite its face. The US will save a little bit of money, but it will lose everything as far as the fight on terrorism in the region.
And calling National Security Assistance ‘Aid’ is stretching the euphemism. It aids no one in Pakistan, it was an insurance policy for the US which they have decided that the premium is now too high.

The US has been funding the lives of these extremists as they endanger our country and the lives of all Americans, and spread hatred towards America, Christianity, Judaism and the West. Is this how American taxpayers want their hard-earned contributions to be used?//
