i dont know where you getting your info from ? i know about aircraft you obviously dont they dont break off! the plane was taxing slowly it slid off undercarriage got bogged in mud .engine surge apparently caused it to break off, but still thats for the experts to confirm, your getting mixed up with the fact engines are designed to break away if there is a violent vibration in one that would lead to bad wing damage,
