Goodness Ducksie ..good job you were alert ! When caring for fil with Alzheimer's I had to keep all cleaning solutions locked away for that reason...although I caught him using a bloo loo for soap once..looked like a smart !! Got to laugh at the funny times !

You do have to laugh sometimes at what they did - my Mam had dementia, I had to watch her like a hawk, had she washed herself with a bloo I think I would have landed back on the floor again with laughter if she looked like a little mama smurf :) You are very caring minty

Indeed.. love for the person suffering is all the motivation needed..in cases such as the poor abused lady...there is no connection and no conscience or even care...

I have to agree there, it was pure love motivated me to care for my Mam and I cared an awful lot for my neighbour x

Sorry Ducksie - I missed your question.

I think it is quite new. I used to buy them no questions asked. Now I'm always asked. They want to know when I last took them and what other meds I'm taking. You could get them by lying. This is my local chemist....not sure if they're all the same.

Our chemists have a computer link and they check your meds before selling any over the counter stuff... I registered for it years back..seems a sensible procedure for safety sake

But you can go to any other chemist. I got my daughter to get me some on her lunch break from Boots.

She got them from a friend in the UK who is prescribed them but apparently doesn't need them so much, her 'husband' as that is what she calls him, apparently suffers extreme back pain so she was bringing them in for him. Despite going to Egypt 4 times a year for the last 5 years she claims not to know the rules surrounding pain medication! Yeah right. As to what happened to the 'boyfriend' nothing - he wasn't the one smuggling drugs!
Just to make it even stranger - he is already married but the girl knows this and is happy with the situation!!
She should banged up when she gets back too!

She received prescription drugs with no entilement and then smuggled them into another country!

can i just say that people with pain in the main have the painkillers "used up" by the pain, so there is less chance of addiction etc
