it sounds as tho you are doing a general pathology course and using FMD as an illustration of any specific acute viral infection. so you need to revise your lecture notes on general responses - and then use BC's ref for the specific response.

I hvent checked that closely - I am pretty certain there isnt a chronic form ( reservoir) or latency ( usually DNA viruses )
