I am amazed that this daft practise isn't already illegal !
Wales taking the lead again.

Piercings and tattoos are horrible. But that's just my personal opinion.

I think tattoos and piercings are horrible. Why anybody would want bits of metal poking out of their face is entirely beyond me - they look bloody stupid, so I absolutely am in support of any law that stops children ruining themselves in this way.
But you've entirely missed the point Mikey - on purpose I suspect.
You can't have it both ways.
The point is Wales considers children to be too immature to get a tattoo, but mature enough to be able to vote.
You do see how that doesn't stack up, don't you?

DD....No, I can't see that there much of connection between the two at all.
For instance, it will still be the case that people can't drive cars until they are 17, after any law change to voting.
It will be still the case that people can't buy drinks in a Pub until the age of 18, after any change to voting.
No one is suggesting that the age of 16 should be the default age for everything in life.
If you agree that piercings are horrible, and you appear to do exactly that, then you should be welcoming this law change, like everybody else and not carping.
