They are trying to do something about the current wave of killings, schools being faced with some of those who were in gangs and carried knives, more youth centres should be made available, somewhere for the young to go. If they were white lads being killed i don't think it would make a difference to be honest, a life lost is a lost life, whatever the colour. You have

The prisons are not even safe. Stabbings are taking place inside as well as out. The victim has been named as "25-year-old Saleh Khader."

No, not racist at all AOG.
Doreen Lawrence had to fight tooth and nail to get her sons murderers convicted. The Police's reaction, when they first arrived on the scene was disbelief that Stephen had been murdered because he was black and that disbelief continued for a long time after. There are still people that don't accept it.
In the end, the Police were found to be institutionaly racist.
So I think she has a very strong point

He and his friend were waiting for a bus, some white boys came past,, and they murdered him precisely because he as black....there was no other motive.
Quite frankly, I am amazed that you should even think of making the comment that you did. It was ignorant in the extreme.
If you recall, the newspaper that you so often quote from, the Daily Mail, played a very significant part in the murderers final apprehension and conviction.....some thing I am quite happy to give my full appreciation and support to.

Well I have read your link and I still cannot see that the murder was racial motivated ie just because he was black.
It would seem that some verbal had taken place between Laurence and the white youths, hence "What, what" (I won't add the racist description), asked by the white youths.
So one could say that perhaps both would not have crossed if nothing had been said.
Do you believe that the killers would have crossed the road to kill Laurence, just because he was black?
Not condoning it in anyway, that what in the end took place, just querying the reason for the murder, you understand.

I’m curious as to how you’ve managed to avoid finding out information about the case in all the years you’ve focussed on both Stephen and Doreen.
