End Of Grid Girls......
....In Formula 1

"While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 grands prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms," Bratches added.
Do you agree or not , with the move ?
Should the ban be extended to other Motor Sports formulas ?

At the build up the grid is now full of A-Z listers/VIPs/celebs milling around waiting to be interviewed/noticed and these girls in my opinion are barely noticeable anymore.

///"This is not a matter of feminists versus models, which seems to be the way many people want to portray this story.
"These changes are taking place because global businesses are making a considered choice about how women should be valued and portrayed in their sports in 2018. They deserve significant credit for doing so."///
But blame the feminist harridans in any case.....

I'll take that as a no then JTH, you wont answer you question.
Spath, no I know they dont but many girls use events like this to further their career. Photo's can be put into a portfolio, they network, some even find partners.
The annoying thing here is that these Middle class 'professionals' think they can take work and avenues away from the 'common' pretty girls. That CANNOT be right.

I *have* answered you, YMB.
The (insert your own derogatory term) aren't stopping these girls. The world is moving on and they are seen as surplus to requirements even by the governing bodies of sports.
I am sure there are plenty of other careers that these girls can make for themselves.
Why...,,,.I am prepared to believe that some of them will even be as highly intelligent as they are beautiful!

I think as with every other job, its the choice of the employer....given that F1 is a business like every other business they may well have looked at the bottom line and said well that's something we can cut, it adds no value and we may well get some brownie points for doing it. Me? I don't care either way....but well....its all a bit 1960's isn't it?
