I thought Ray's words were rather nasty. Very few people look as good in their 50s as they did in their 20s or 30s or whatever - including him, I'm sure. Very hurtful. How can you be happy with someone when they've said that to you?

No argument there.

My issue is - and I don't follow celebrity gossip, so I don't know if this is accurate - is the only reason why we know what he has said to his wife because she has chosen to share it on national television, or in the media?

If it's a private conversation within a marriage, it should remain so - it's undignified to conduct your spats in public.
