If only more parents took a tougher attitude with their bullying off springs.

Well done that dad

So bullying fixes bullying?
It doesn't seem to me that the dad was bullying. A mile isn't exactly a long way to walk, or run for a young kid. Why doesn't he walk every day?

It seems to have stopped the boy's bad behaviour anyway.
Big bully, lol.
woofgang: bullying or discipline?
Question Author
It is not bullying.

It serves two purposes, one as a punishment for the kids bullying and secondly it is pretty good for his fitness.

So for those liberals saying this is bullying how do you think bullying should be tackled?
I don't think it's bullying either. It's punishment.
Not a fan but as long as the dad in question was near the son during the walk (as seems to be the case) then that's the main thing in practice.

What I'm less impressed at is the subsequent "oh look at how tough a parent I am" virtue-signalling that has also ended up naming (the surname at least, along with a photo) and shaming a six-year-old on the internet. A bit much, surely?
And videoing it and putting it online is just punishment? No way I'd humiliate a child like that.
Yes, I agree with that, Jim. I guess he's one those 'tough guys' who needs everyone to know how tough he is. I think the punishment was appropriate.
Yes the filming and posting online is unnecessary. I have no problem with the running to school part.
The kid is 10 Jim.

The video is 3.56 long... Haven't watched it but impressive if the whole The kid is 10 Jim.

The video is 3.56 long... Haven't watched it but impressive if the whole mile is shown in that time.

mile is shown in that time.

You been on the sauce? :)
What The Funicular happened there?

I hate using a phone to post :0/
No idea what happened there either, but indeed you are right about the age. Maybe the "6 miles an hour" stuck in my head for some reason.

I don't think it matters if he's six or 10 for my point though. Not convinced it should be something to publicise. As far as I can tell, Bryan Thornhill doesn't seem to mind though.

You're expensive phone, Talbot? ;-)

Lol
Over here the father would be arrested, and the kid would have a Taxi booked, by the child care enforcement agencies, as a reward for his misbehaviour
100% agree with this!
