Alba,
He was in a Pub in Cambridge with 18 Luton Town football hooligans, and the police were called. Lennon refused to leave, and he called it harrassment and persecution.

Gromit; Your link says he was with his family and a group of "Luton supporters";
"But police say he was asked to leave as part of a group of 18 Luton Town supporters, as the football club played Cambridge United on that day and officers wanted to stop any potential trouble.
Robinson was joined by three of his children, who in video footage are heard distressed by the situation."
Why do you say they were "hooligans" there is no mention of them causing any trouble whatsoever.

Why is this brawl deemed to be of such public interest it requires a splash in the national newspapers? As far as I know, whilst Robinson has a reputation for being an agitator, he doesn't hold public office, represent any group, or claim any political or religious affiliation. Please can someone enlighten me why the media think the public are even interested?
Khandro,
The Luton Town away supporters, ‘The Men in Gear’ (MiG), are notorious, and have a long history of violence. The name ‘Tommy Robinson’ was borrowed from a MiG who wrote a book about his exploits with them. Lennon lives in Luton and is a Luton Town ‘suppoter’. He also has a conviction fot football hooliganism.
Frankly, the story that he just happened to be in a pub 40 miles from his home when a group of Luton Town ‘supporters’ arrived coincidentally, is not very credible.

// Robinson, who now leads anti-Islam group Pegida UK, was convicted of football hooliganism in 2011 after becoming involved in a brawl between supporters of his home town of Luton and Newport County fans. He was handed a three-year football banning order. //
The police will have him on file as a convicted Luton Town hooligan. The Cambridge Police were trying to prevent any aggro and asked Lennon and his cronies to leave the pub. He refused and argued, in front of his young children, with the officers.

Of the McDonalds video, I looks like Lennon was confronted. But I am guessing there was some previous to this. The branch of McDonalds is a few streets from a Mosque. In a second video Lennon goes to the Mosque which is heavily guarded by police, and rows with a different group of men. Lennon himself says the voice on the McDonalds video requesting to fight one on one was him, not one of the attackers.
