I have given this more thought - especially in the way that Mr Carragher has handled the situation.
In view of his willingness to accept his behaviour, and make amends as far as possible, I have changed my view on the possibility of his sacking.
I think suspension to the end of the season is appropriate, then start afresh next season with a line drawn under this.
It was a dreadful thing to do, but people make mistakes, Mr Carragher was caught on camera making his, and he is paying the price in terms of the public approbation he is rightly receiving.
But having read all his comments, and in admiration for is undergoing a difficult interview on Sky, I am happy to correct my previous reaction regarding his future as a pundit.
Anyone else changed their view in the light of his handling of the situation?
