//Two Britons accused of being Islamic State members have complained they will not get a fair trial because the UK government has stripped them of their citizenship.
In an interview with Associated Press from northern Syria, Elsheikh said the "illegal" withdrawal of their UK citizenship put them at risk of "rendition and torture".
US officials believe 'the Beatles' IS cell beheaded more than 27 Western hostages and tortured many more.//

And one of them is worried about his mum too. Ahhhh. Heartbreaking! I have no sympathy whatsoever. Does anyone?

Talking of fair trials reminds me of Thomas Cromwell, who at the time of the Dissolution of the Monasteries made a marginal note, 'The abbot of Reading to be tried and hanged there'. Stalin acted in a similar vein when he noted, 'x,y, and z to be tried and shot'.
jack ; Pour Encourager Les Autres ?
The way this country works they could qualify for an expensive trial (using money that could be put to better use) , then be let off because they are only lads and didn't mean any harm , plus they are hero's to some
And when its all sorted and they are given a house plus some pocket money they could apply for some sort of trauma support because it was pretty nasty the things they had to do And then put back on the street to think up some other crazy thing to do
Exactly bentaxle.

Give them a trial in the country they allegedly committed the atrocities and when they are most likely found guilty get the rope.
What evidence is there that will stand up in a court of law, are there witnesses or filmed evidence do we know?
It would be worrying if they evaded justice because of lack of evidence.
If there is no evidence, how could we sure it is them......and therefore how can they be said to have evaded Justice?

If it *is* them and their identities can be proven, I hope a very large book is thrown at them and they never see the sunlight as free men aver again.
I have just been watching this snivelling pair on the news complaining that their Mums wont know where they are, because the UK have dis owned them. I cannot believe these terrorists who are big and brave in killing innocent defenseless people, but cry like babies when they are caught. I hope they are convicted in a country with much harsher punishements that what the UK dish out. SCUM.
They are a right ugly-looking pair of scruffs as well, enough to frighten babies in their prams.
I have no sympathy whatsoever, as long as they receive a fair trial. Confessions under duress and torture must not be accepted as guilt alone, and the use of torture has to be prohibited to stop a bad situation worsening and creation of martyrs for propaganda purposes. There is no use having a confession if it is acquired because of torture.
I'm not a fan of the death penalty by and large however they chose to take themselves off into a war zone and perpetrate atrocities outside of the normal rules of war so you live by the sword you die by it.
Actually, have they been arrested? Have they been charged?
As I said at the time(shortly after their capture) I was thoroughly miffed that the Kurds hadn’t dispatched them both.
Let the Septics take them to Gitmo, the last thing I want is for them to undergo British ‘justice’.
3 halal meals a day etc? No thanks, I want them berated daily be a seriously prejudiced US Marine and 3 a.m. cell searches on a regular basis.
Not that I’m vindictive, mind.....
In spite of the usual flog / hang / dessicate etc etc posts -

We have to try them fairly and properly regardless of what they are accused of doing.

If we drop our standards to theirs, we become them, and our right to uphold our moral stance against terrorism is destroyed.

We are the morally superior ones, and we must act like it.
3 halal meals a day etc?

It would be pork every day for every meal if up to me, Chill.

I hope the trial is held in the USA, preferably in a state that has the death sentence.

Sometimes you just have to roll up the sleeves and get your hands dirty.
//We are the morally superior ones, //

Well, Well! Enough said already.
We are the morally superior ones, and we must act like it.

I’m more than happy to forego moral superiority in favour of giving these vermin a bullet each through the back of the head and a shallow ditch for their final resting place.

Fine - but if you do that, the next time you see on the news that similar barbarity has been inflicted on innocent UK citizens, you have lost your rights to cry about it.

If you're happy with that ....

Cooey, fiction-factory. another one for you^.
"innocent UK citizens" have .suffered at the hands of these adherents of the religion of peace.

It's time to settle that account, not some future savagery

That these people are fighting for IS is enough.
