//Two Britons accused of being Islamic State members have complained they will not get a fair trial because the UK government has stripped them of their citizenship.
In an interview with Associated Press from northern Syria, Elsheikh said the "illegal" withdrawal of their UK citizenship put them at risk of "rendition and torture".
US officials believe 'the Beatles' IS cell beheaded more than 27 Western hostages and tortured many more.//

And one of them is worried about his mum too. Ahhhh. Heartbreaking! I have no sympathy whatsoever. Does anyone?

And when its all sorted and they are given a house plus some pocket money they could apply for some sort of trauma support because it was pretty nasty the things they had to do And then put back on the street to think up some other crazy thing to do

I have just been watching this snivelling pair on the news complaining that their Mums wont know where they are, because the UK have dis owned them. I cannot believe these terrorists who are big and brave in killing innocent defenseless people, but cry like babies when they are caught. I hope they are convicted in a country with much harsher punishements that what the UK dish out. SCUM.
I have no sympathy whatsoever, as long as they receive a fair trial. Confessions under duress and torture must not be accepted as guilt alone, and the use of torture has to be prohibited to stop a bad situation worsening and creation of martyrs for propaganda purposes. There is no use having a confession if it is acquired because of torture.
I'm not a fan of the death penalty by and large however they chose to take themselves off into a war zone and perpetrate atrocities outside of the normal rules of war so you live by the sword you die by it.

As I said at the time(shortly after their capture) I was thoroughly miffed that the Kurds hadn’t dispatched them both.
Let the Septics take them to Gitmo, the last thing I want is for them to undergo British ‘justice’.
3 halal meals a day etc? No thanks, I want them berated daily be a seriously prejudiced US Marine and 3 a.m. cell searches on a regular basis.
Not that I’m vindictive, mind.....

In spite of the usual flog / hang / dessicate etc etc posts -
We have to try them fairly and properly regardless of what they are accused of doing.
If we drop our standards to theirs, we become them, and our right to uphold our moral stance against terrorism is destroyed.
We are the morally superior ones, and we must act like it.

ChillDoubt - // I’m more than happy to forego moral superiority in favour of giving these vermin a bullet each through the back of the head and a shallow ditch for their final resting place. //
Fine - but if you do that, the next time you see on the news that similar barbarity has been inflicted on innocent UK citizens, you have lost your rights to cry about it.
If you're happy with that ....
