Looks like Plods tactics for suppressing evidence they dont like is coming out.

This just cannot be right for any society that wants true justice. Anyone in the Police hiding evidence that could change the course of a trial should be jailed.

At least this God awful woman id going though, what a waste of space and affront to justice she is.

Yes very disturbing that Plod is perverting the course of justice with impunity. I also do not understand why they and the CPS are not being prosecuted for the increasing number of these cases.
The CPS is merely a refuge for those lawyers who are simply not good enough to get a job with a private firm, where they would make much more money. I have seen it at first hand.
It is appalling to discover. It's supposed to be better that the guilty go free than the innocent are convicted. Everyone wants crimes solved and the guilty caught; but not simply the illusion of it.
I bet she'll get a very nice golden handshake as well.

Spath,//battering a man in hospital because he wanted to go out for a cigarette. //

Why are the police working in your local hospital policing people who want to go outside for a cigarette? That's bizarre!
Naomi, I suspect that the police had escorted someone they had arrested to hospital who was in need of medical attention.
Barmaid, Oh, maybe. So not an in-patient as it reads.
yeah I am not Allison's greatest fan
After a defendant [I was supporting] was acquitted after eight minutes - even the judge remarked on that,
I wrote to her and asked her to review the decision

and her bag carrier wrote back a poncey reply saying that the system was meant to work like that.

I remained unconvinced
Drunks are the bane of our country. It is rife in many towns to get paralytic, cause mayhem and the police have the unpleasant job of trying to control such stupid behaviour. Is it any wonder that some cops are sick of these cretins, and sometimes over react to drug addled, drink soaked idiots?
No it's no wonder David. But we expect better than that.

Suppressing evidence which may exonerate the innocent is an utter afront to any form of justice.
^^And while they are policing these 'drunk addled, drink soaked idiots' night after night after night, decent folk who desperately need the help of the police are being sidelined. Makes me so mad !
Totally agree barmaid. Things ain’t what they used to be. Integrity and honesty are too often underrated.
I am not sure why Abers think all this is new

God de farder ( in heavens name) the IRA non bomber film with Emma Thompson - there is a file - "not to be seen by the defence" - 1986 for chrissakes - altho not every Hollywood or Elstree film is 'true'.

Judith Ward - the non bomber who DIDN'T blow the back of the M62 bus off - someone else did - SHE wouldnt have been convicted if the documents showing this had been disclosed.

Quite right, nothing new. The police can do pretty much as they please, including killing you for carrying a table leg. I don’t know whether slashing police numbers by the odd 20,000 will help matters ( by reducing the number of bad apples) or make them worse (by overworking them even more). Either way, you get the policing you pay for.

I thought some rabid lefty might get Police cuts in soewhere. And you didnt disappoint.
spathiphyllum "And the reason is because there are more corrupt cops than good ones."

You really do come out with the most incredible ill thought out cobblers at times.
That’s two threads you’ve got running in which you want better policing but you don’t want to pay for it. Sometimes I wonder if you’ve really grasped how capitalism works, despite your abhorrence of the alternatives.

If you think the nation needs more unpaid volunteer policemen, become one.
