Surely this is enough to put you off ever indulging...?

She looks a fright - and yet now she is awaiting pioneering surgery to stop her face collapsing - no doubt at the expense of the taxpayer!

//She has indeed, Kromo, which is whyI can't understand her starting drugs in the first place.//

Why do people drink, or smoke, or over-eat, or bounce from one miserable relationship to another? They do it because they think they’re in control and it’s never going to happen to them.
I've never tried it but had an American ex who said it was the best high ever. I'm talking the party type you snort through dollar bills - not crackheads. Off the top of my head I can recall it in films as a very hip glamorous thing to do - Demi Moore in St Elmo' fire, Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface, Sarah Michelle Geller in Cruel Intentions - there must be 100s of 80s/90/00s films showing cocaine being taken at parties etc in a quite acceptable manner.
Daniella moved (or aspired to move) in those circles.

''If you saw a poor homeless man on the floor with no nose and you KNEW it's because he spent a load of money on drugs and snorted them all up his nose you'd have no sympathy.''

That is a hateful and grossly inaccurate generalisation of the people here Spathiphyllum, you don't know that about anyone here and it is certainly untrue about me, I don't care what someone's social state is, my sympathy extends to all.
It's puzzling that anyone can see this as anything but sad.

People should save their contempt for those that go around hurting others rather than just themselves.
Nicely said ludwig
does look pretty revolting, shows what drugs can do, not just spoil your life but your face too.
So So sorry for this sad lady, OK she brought it on herself. Everyone is entitled to make a mistake. I hope with time & re-construction she will come through as beautiful as I can still see beneath the surface.
My thoughts? Comes across as a bit *** to be honest, particularly the bit about Kate Moss being 'ropey these days'.

I agree with ludwig.

You might not get sympathy, Spath, but hopefully you won't contempt poured on you from those who are perfect in every way.

No sympathy from me. I reserve that for a lovely lady I know who has just been diagnosed with lymphoma, through no fault of her own.

"I never damaged my nose by snorting cocaine
but those damned doctors - botched a perfickly simple nose job"

well yeah that is one way of looking at it

I wd poo-poo such an explanation myself ( sozza have we had that one? ) - erm comments such as these - - stink?

tell her that R-CHOP has a 75% 5 y survival rate so dont give up !
Thanks PP.
It’s a shame about the OPs ‘no doubt at the expense of the taxpayer’ comment. I can find no evidence that her surgery was on the NHS.
If it was, she wasn’t alone:

Zacs, she claims to be penniless and on benefits so how could one imagine she's forking out for surgery herself?

Garaman, stop being so petulant. I don't for one minute claim to be perfect, nor have I said "it serves them right" ... I simply don't feel overwhelming sympathy for them. There are far more people out there who deserve sympathy.
