I doubt anyone's got any sympathy for him hIa. I'm just horrified that there are people who would take someone's eye out for any reason, let alone money. What sort of person does that and surely the prison authorities will know who's done it anyway?

YEs, they will be aware they will be 'done' for it but as in some cases you get 8 years for murder I doubt there will be much put on a sentence for this. Most likely the money will go to the family not the individual and that is what may tempt some to do it.
