Are We All 'racists'?
Or is it simply a handy, pejorative term to label someone when the argument is being lost, what does it mean, and where would you apply it if at all?

Actually to be fair I do think that that word, among loads of others, is used by people to shut down discussion and sometimes to virtue signal. "If you don't agree with me you must be racist; if you don't fancy me you must be gay/frigid; if you don't agree with my stance on animal care you must be an abuser and so on......its a species of logical fallacy though and not an indication that there is no such thing as racism.

No. Not all of us. Not by a long chalk.
However, some people are. One of the fascinating things about where we are now, is that the term racist (and sexist, homophobic etc) have become the first stop in any argument. Because these terms are bandied about so casually, it means that those who are bigots are able to claim they’re not.
It’s a lose/lose situation.
Sidebar - for many people of my generation, watching Morrissey turn into our collective dads is extremely depressing.
It’s like the first time you saw THAT picture of Alex James.

This is a classic from the daffodil man:
“Racism is at its most abhorrent in relation to eating animals. If you eat animals, isn’t it a display of hatred for a certain species? And what gives you the right to eat another species or race? Would you eat people from Sri Lanka?”
Complete and utter fruitcake.
