I have just seen this story and I can't think of anything to say - when did Humans start acting in such a stupid fashion?

I feel for the guy's family and his friends who witnessed his death.

Humans have acted in stupid ways since there have been humans.

The advent of alcohol increased the activity, the advent of the mobile phone increased it again, and now we appear to have the results of both of them in tandem.

I believe that his gender means that he is more at risk of acts of stupidity.

I hope that his friends will learn from this incident - probably not.

Nice to see that the Bear is being looked after
I'm glad the bear is getting help too. How sad that a stray dog tried to fight with the bear to save the man. Hope the dog survived.
I hope the dog and bear are both ok.
When, Wolf?.....Long time ago. Living in Calgary we often heard of bear attacks and usually it was human stupidity. The man who was killed after leaving his car to steal, for fun, a sign warning of bears close by....the lady who went between a mum and cubs for a photo of her petting the cubs.....so many..... :-(

gness, it was in the last couple of weeks in India.

Bears, Lions etc will usually avoid stupid humans but, as you say, they will protect their babies and their territory.
