Their are Royalists and Republicans on all points of the political spectrum. Wanting a democratically elected president rather than a hereditary ruler could hardly be described as a "hard left" policy - nobody would imagine that the USA is a "hard left" country.

Or do you have information about his status as an AB member that the rest of us do not possess?

And why would you ask him whether all white people are forgiven?

As you must be aware, there are still those who decry Meghan’s entry into the Royal Family.

There are still those who have posted about her ‘tainting’ the royal bloodline.

I don’t Think Mr Lammy now thinks that everything in the garden is now rosy - in the same way that the election of Barack Obama’s sorted out all race issues in the U.S.

It just means that another step has been made.

Throughout history, when a first happens, it is notable (man on the moon, female prime minister, African American president). These positive moves mean that the next time it happens, or the time after that - it won’t be a big deal.

Also, in relation to Meghan - there’s a feeling amongst black Britons of being included in the royal club now.
