Hi all,
As you may have heard, data protection laws are changing in the EU. This means that some websites need to make changes in order to remain compliant with these laws. So we're letting you know that shortly, when you come to The AnswerBank, you will see a popup box talking about the cookies we use on the website. Cookies are small files placed on your computer that hold data which helps a website to run. In fact, The AnswerBank can't run without these cookies. When you see this new popup, you will be asked to either accept or decline cookies. If you accept, you will be able to use The AnswerBank as normal, and you won't see the message again. If you decline, your browser will navigate away from the website because the website cannot be used without cookies. You won't be able to click on anything else on the website until you either accept or decline cookies.
We're letting you know in advance so that it doesn't come as a surprise when this message appears for you shortly. If you have any questions, please contact us: https:/ /www.th eanswer bank.co .uk/Inf o/Conta ctUs/

I know what are 'Cookies' and can appreciate that it is important for AB to use 'Identification' ones to know that it is me who is posting and Not someone pretending to be me. However, if I want to use AB I must accept that 'trackers' are being installed and information is most likely being passed to other firms about my Internet interests.
Surely we should be allowed to opt out from some 'cookies' and Not be given the option of accept all or nothing, on the basis of 'take it or leave it'.
Hans.
