I've heard of a few things having to be removed and my daughter who worked as a doctor in A&E here and Aus has had to remove them but this one takes the biscuit.

Just why would you do it?

He was probably just washing off his G spot.
I read an artical entitled 'Penile injuries due to Vacuum Cleaners' . In all cases the vacuum cleaner was a Hoover Dustette and the victims claimed that the injury was sustained by falling on the vacuum cleaner when dusting in the nude. Similar doubt as to real cause was raised in that case. Especially as it was pointed out that to contact the fan blade a item would have needed to be inserted 28mm into the vacuum cleaner nozzle.
Why have the doctors told a newspaper about it?
A doctor friend told me that now more milk is sold in plastic rather than glass bottles the number of trapped appendages has dropped.
not the old, slipped and fell on it routine! PMSL!
Then there was the odd chap with the vacuum cleaner hose somewhat stuck. When his family rang A&E to ask how he was, they were told.

"He is picking up nicely". :))
You're right there baza, that was a very common occurrence at one time - anyone who has worked in A&E could tell many tales.

Though they shouldn't really.
How mortified must these people feel attending A&E ?
Why indeed would you do it ymb??? The mind boggles!
The most likely explanation for these events is given in the first paragraph of the article.
Seems a 'common' accident.

Never underestimate the power of the combination of an orifice, an object that looks like it might fit in said orifice, and a slightly unhealthy sense of curiosity!
I wonder how many of these stories are apocryphal though. Wild stories abound in most operational industries

It might help to read some of the work by the sexologist Alfred Kinsey.
These kind of things that we all snigger at are more widespread than we care to admit. Who hasn't experimented, at some time or another, with things/experiences that might be considered in polite society ''a bit bizarre''?
