Stabbing is an awful crime but stabbing a baby?

In addition we also see a very vicious attack on Michael McIntyre and his son in broad daylight.

Just what has London become. Where is Khan jumping up and down to get this sorted?

How do you know he's not? Just because he's not front and centre with a camera trained on him (like Boris was at every opportunity) doesn't mean he isn't working to sort things out. Why, he may even be on his knees pleading with the PM to give the Police Force more money and officers! Who knows?
By the way, the stabbing would appear to be a 'domestic' incident and, if that is the case, London does not have a monopoly on those.
Incident 1 sounds like a domestic incident. Horrible, but not sure how the Mayor or Police can combat couples falling out in their own homes.

Incident 2. Though I am not condoning the crime, if you are flashing your wealth about (£15,000 watch, £138,000 car) then don’t be surprised if you catch the attention of robbers. He is worth £38million, so he will soon get over the loss of a watch. The trauma of the attack will be with him for the rest of his life.
Gromit may have hit on the solution to a growing problem.

We all shuffle about the place, shoulders hunched and head covered, not displaying anything of value thus giving no target for feral scum to latch on to.
When this phase passes we will, one day, be able to return to living normal civilised lives having defeated the miscreants by cowering in fear.

Or we can catch them and treat them as they deserve, with corporal punishment and contempt.

That could work. That is my MO and I have never been mugged.

So everything is fine then Gromit. All part and parcel eh?

Ken, Khan knows how to operate the press. If he wanted to make a point he could. There is nothing so he is not making much of an effort, probably more concerned with the Trump visit.
The way London is going we are going to end up with martial law on the streets. Good ole hand wringers eh?
There was a time that women dressing provocatively ‘were asking for it’ and fare game. Does Gromit believe the same of people with nice stuff are fare game as well?

How utterly ridiculous. The lazy scum not willing to work for a living targeting people with the things they can’t be bothered to acquire legitimately are the problem.
If you have £15,000 on your person, then there are going to be criminals who will want to take it from you.
I wouldn’t walk about with £15,000 in my pocket, but I can’t afford to get robbed. A multi-millionaire might do different because they can afford to lose it.
It is not just London:

What has our once great country become? I fear for future generations.
It's not a new invented crime.
What goes on behind closed doors is terribly difficult to police - a truly horrific attack.
I pray the Mother and baby recover from their injuries.

A frightening attack on Michael and his son too, no one should be fearful to be out and about, not sure if there's a solution there.
Better surveillance or more local knowledge on these gangs maybe.
Is it correct that the police are not allowed to chase thugs on mopeds if they aren't wearing a crash helmet? If true how ridiculous. So what if they fall off and kill themselves, who cares? They deserve it.
I've read 4 different articles on the Michael McIntyre incident and it is only the Mail says that one of his sons was with him in the car when he was attacked. Wonder if that's the Mail sensationalising an already alarming story. Police apparently probing whether or not he was followed by the thieves from his home?
It appears from other reports at least one of his sons was approaching the car shortly after the attack and Michael can be seen hugging him.

Terrible experience for him/them, but I trust while the Police were there they gave him a ticket for parking his Range Rover on double yellow lines outside a school.
