I think what makes it worse is that there were three of them living there. And all three allegedly let him die such a long and painful death. If he were in the care of one inadequate person it might be more believable, but this horrific case has staggered me.

Yeah that's what I mean, there's just no way of understanding how this sort of behaviour was normalised across three whole generations, it's unbelievable. I have no idea what I would do with them, obviously lock them away for a very long time but how do you deal with the psychological issues they clearly all have to have let this happened in the first place?

There are some unfortunates born in to this life who just do not stand a chance of a normal loving existence. So many cases of brutality and lack of humanity from those that should be protectors.

I've no doubt that "lessons will be learned" - but the main lesson for me is that there are some people who go beyond 'inadequate' and 'uncaring' and 'stupid' and into something I can only call Evil (with a capital E).

Obviously mentally ill. They should spend the rest of their lives in a secure mental unit. There is one just 4 miles from me, they may end up as neighbours.

What about her husband ? Father of the dead baby and the malnourished ,neglected 16 years old boy. He must have known about his dead baby and that his teenage son was being ill-treated. He apparently had limited contact but used to send texts asking about the boy. Surely he could have done more?
How on earth can anyone keep a dead body in a bag for years and ignore the smell?
The whole family must be deranged and evil !

Was the teenager shackled and imprisoned, or maybe physically disabled?
One does not get so weak from malnutrition that they are bed bound overnight.

Why would they Minty? I've said hello to my neighbour once and they moved in over 6 months ago. I just don't see them. I wouldn't even recognise in the street.

not really enough facts to go on (though I doubt even with the full facts available this would be any more comprehensible). Sounds like family dysfunction perhaps built around a form of scapegoating. No doubt there are ways of treating it but I don't know what the chances of success would be.

Looking at them is enough, they make me shudder. Poor young lad. I would like the full force of the law to come down on them, but they may be assessed as mentally ill and escape harsh prosecution, sadly.

It's a truly disturbing case and I don't envy those investigating this - RIP Jordan, you never had a chance I fear.
