Better off reading what's said below the video because, as per, the Sun have extracted just that bit that makes it sound if he is accepting total responsibility. He re-iterates what the police chief said yesterday, and many of us have known for some time, that cuts in the police force have greatly reduced their ability to fight and solve crime. Cuts have nothing to do with this problem, if plod are so short of personnel why are they spending so much time and effort on hate crime and chasing up dead peoples crime. Fine it you are in control of the streets but they are not so first things first - get control and the right-on policing can wait.

He can’t be ‘blamed’ as such but I do wonder if his attitude towards it is similar to his attitude towards Islamic terrorism in that it’s all part and parcel of living in a big city. Too complacent and not doing enough? Perhaps.

I don't believe people are blaming Sadiq Khan because of his race or ethnicity - that would be totally illogical. I have a Mayor who just happens not be be white. So what.
