Years ago some people I knew in Hereford were dropped off in the Centre of London and had to make their way back to Hereford collecting money for charity en route. Whilst hitchhiking, Leslie Grantham stopped to give them a lift. He ended up driving them all the way back to Hereford, which was nice of him I suppose.
